On 24 April 2024, Mr. Pichaya Lapasthamrong, representative of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata was invited as Guest of Honour to participate in the International Accolade Award 2024 organized by World Martial Arts Committee (WMAC) - India. The event aimed to honour outstanding individual athletes, who have made remarkable contributions to the fields of martial arts including Muay Thai. Around 30 athletes from Indian, Nepal and Bangladesh were awarded with medals and certificates. Other Guests of Honour included Acting Consul-General of the United States in Kolkata, President of West Bengal Council for Higher and Secondary Education, and WMAC National Director of Scotland.

World Martial Arts Committee (WMAC) – India is a non-profit organization aims to promote martial arts in India by conducting training seminars, self-defence camps, and national tournaments. It is also working towards the growth of Muay Thai in Indian sports.
