Guided by this belief, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata, in collaboration with Wat Thai Buddhagaya, organized a community outreach programme at Panchasila School in Bodhgaya, providing school backpacks, educational materials, essential school supplies, dry food, and nutritious lunches to underprivileged students.

The initiative reflects Thailand's steadfast commitment to creating opportunities for every child to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. By supporting students with the essential resources they need to succeed, Thailand seeks not only to improve educational outcomes but also to inspire hope, nurture aspirations, and empower the next generation to build a better future for themselves and their communities.

The programme also showcases the evolving role of Wat Thai Buddhagaya as more than a revered pilgrimage site for Thai Buddhists. Rooted in the Buddhist values of compassion and generosity, the temple has become a vibrant centre of community service, working hand in hand with local communities to expand access to education, support vulnerable families, and improve the well-being of disadvantaged children. Through these sustained efforts, the temple continues to earn the trust, respect, and goodwill of the people it serves.
