                                    Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kolkata, welcomed 17 students from Loreto Convent and St.Joseph’s School North Point, Darjeeling who arrived from Bagdogra Airport, Siliguri on 17 August 2013. After Mr.Bimal Gurung, the GJM Chief, has declared his undesirable intention to continue an indefinite strike in Darjeeling district, Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kolkata acted swiftly to assist and helped all the Thai students to evacuate from Darjeeling. 17 Thai students (whose age ranging from 9-17 years old) reached Kolkata Airport in the afternoon of 17 August 2013 and travelled back to Thailand safely by Indigo Airline at 21.45 on 17 August 2013.
