The 85^th Birthday Anniversary of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand

On 4 December 2012, the Royal Thai Consulate General in Kolkata celebrated the auspicious occasion of the 85^th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, 5 December 2012, at Hotel the Park, Kolkata.

Mr. Prasittidesh Vichitsorasatra, Consul General of Thailand in Kolkata, addressed to the crowd of around 250 people, speaking about the greatness of H.M. the King, the longest reigning monarch in the world, who has been working untiringly for the continued sustainable development of the country and the quality well-being of Thai people.

The guests comprised consuls-general and consuls of  many countries in Kolkata, honorary consuls of many countries in Kolkata, Indian high ranking officials and businessmen, media corps, friends of Thailand, Thai businessmen, Thai students and Thai people in Kolkata.

Videos about His Majesty the King’s activities were shown during the reception and the posters about His Majesty the King’s biography and activities, and Thai tourist sites were displayed in the reception hall.

The guests enjoyed varieties of Thai food prepared by Thai chefs at the hotel and Thai desserts provided by Thai Airways International Ltd., Kolkata, which also provided beautiful Thai orchids for the hall decoration and for the individual guest.
