                                      Indian Media Trip to Thailand

                The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata conducted a project of  “Indian Media Trip to Thailand” during 18 – 24 April 2012. The media group comprised representatives of four renowned newspapers in Kolkata.  Mr. Sukoom Somprasonk, Deputy Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata, led the media delegation to  visit several important , cultural, and historical places in Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Hua Hin and Petchburi province, including some royal development projects initiated by His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen. The media delegation has shown much interested and appreciation in the royal activities and dedication to the royal projects they visited ; the Royal Rainmaking Operation Centre in Hua Hin, “Arts of the Kingdom” exhibition at Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall, the Bangsai Arts and Crafts Centre of  the "SUPPORT" Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, and the “Chang Hua Mun” Royal Project of H.M. the King in Petchburi.

                 During the visit, Mr. Prasittidesh Vichitsorasatra, Consul General of Thailand in Kolkata, led the delegation to meet with Deputy Director General of Department of Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for a briefing on Thailand’s social and economic situation including Thailand-India relarionship. The Consul-General also hosted a dinner in honour of the delegation at Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok.
