On 13 April 2023 Miss Acharapan Yavaprapas, Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata inaugurated Thai Food Festival held by The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat from 13 – 23 April 2023 at its pan Asian restaurant Nori. The Festival is curated by Chef Khun Dee from The Westin Siray Bay Resort and Spa, Phuket who has over 35 years of culinary experience. Many popular Thai dishes are featured throughout the Festival such as Som Tam (papaya salad), Pla Goong (shrimp salad), Green Curry, Massaman Curry, Pad Thai, Tom Yam Goong (shrimp in spicy soup), Kanom Chin Nam Ngeow (rice vermicelli in spicy pork broth), Tab Tim Krob (jellied water chestnut in coconut milk), etc.
