On 11 August 2023, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata organized a ceremony to commemorate the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother on 12 August 2023. Ms. Acharapan Yavaprapas, Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata, presided over the ceremony and led the officials and spouses to pay homage to Her Majesty The Queen Mother and perform the candle-lighting ceremony followed by signing the book of well-wishes for Her Majesty.

In addition, the Consulate-General held a prayer service and alms-giving ceremony at the premises of the Royal Thai Consulate-General, with the attendance of the Abbot of the Nipponzan Myohoji, to commemorate this auspicious occasion.
