On 13 October 2022, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kolkata held a ceremony to commemorate the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. Miss Acharapan Yavaprapas, Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata led the officials together with their spouses to pay homage to His Majesty, followed by wreath-laying, reading of tribute message and standing in silence for 89 seconds in remembrance of His Majesty’s lifelong devotion to Thai people.
