On the Auspicious Occasions of Her Majesty the Queen Mother’s 90th Birthday Anniversary and His Majesty King Rama X’s 70th Birthday Anniversary, Mr. Thirapath Mongkolnavin, Chargé d' Affaires a.i., Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi, together with Ms. Acharapan Yavaprapas, Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata, attended the prayer service to celebrate these auspicious occasions under the Sacred Bodhi Tree at Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya, Bihar on 14 August 2022. The prayer service was presided over by His Eminence Phra Brahma Vajiradhipati, Abbot of Mahathat Yuwaratrangsarit Temple.  Venerable Phra Dharma Bodhiwongse, Abbot of the Royal Thai Monastery Buddhagaya and the Head Priest of India-Nepal Thai Dhammaduta, including more than 500 participants from Thailand attended the said ceremony.

On the same day, Chargé d' Affaires a.i. and Consul-General also attended the annual merit-making ceremony for the deceased Thai Buddhist Missionaries, former Abbots of the Royal Thai Monastery Buddhagaya, former Thai Ambassadors and Consul-General to India, held at the Royal Thai Monastery Buddhagaya in Bihar.

In addition, Consul-General also made a financial contribution to the Royal Thai Monastery Buddhagaya under auspicious occasions in supporting Thai Buddhist monks and lay persons in Bodhgaya.
