On 4 July 2024, Ms. Siriporn Tantipanyathep, Consul-General of Thailand in Kolkata preside over the handover ceremony of school supplies and sport equipment to the students of Candasiri Buddha Vihar School, Vaishali, Bihar. The school was established by Phrakru Siddhipriyativides (Chalong Candasiri), the chief abbot of Wat Thai Vaishali Temple. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Digvijay Narayan, Member of Zilla Parishad District Board of Vaishali, and more than 200 students.
 
The said activity was part of the Consulate-General’s corporate social responsibility activity ‘We do good deeds by our heart’, which is a royal initiative by His Majesty the King of Thailand with an aim to improve the livelihood of the local community in Vaishali. Consul-General handed over 200 school supplies (comprising school uniform, school bag, notebook, water bottle, tiffin box, pen and pencil sets), 2 cricket sets and 5 footballs. After the ceremony, the students jointly paid respect to the portrait of His Majesty while playing the royal anthem, and chanted ‘Long Live the King of Thailand’ resoundingly and in unison.
