It is with profound sadness to learn that cyclone Fani has hit the eastern coast of the Republic of India, particularly the State of Odisha, causing loss of lives, extensive property damages and millions of displaced people.
On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the Thai people, I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the Government of India and those who lost their loved ones in this disaster. We hope their livelihood will be soon restored to normalcy. Our thoughts and prayers are with your people during this difficult time. At the same time, I would like to praise the Government of India for its effective response to this devastating storm.
